Hi Ryan,

I agree with you....
I would say the max number of the field which is customized by the system administrator...
My team is responsible for providing FPA and productivity related services in my organization.
Our Product development unit is following Agile/ SCRUM methodology including Story Points which is an Agile estimation technique.
Do you know any big organizations which are implementing this combination of Agile and Function Points?

Hi psoneira,

thanks for the following statement..

>>The size of a software product contains three dimensions: functional size, technical size and quality size

As far as I know, You have to be IFPUG member to access this document.
Software Non-functional Assessment Process SNAP

The picture on the slade 8 is from me
Within the company we have several applications that are accessed by the users through a front office portal.
The portal is a web portal that each time serves more than 1 application.
The portals are integrated which means that data is being passed to and from the related applications without the user seeing which application he is actually working in.

  • Do you count the portal as 1 application ?

  • Do you only count the transactions related to each linked application ?

  • How do you handle counting portals ?
  • Hi Glanza,

I agree with you... Your statment is correct...

"...There can be a use case that contains more elementary processes and another one that constituites a single elementary process. "
@Steve Neuendorf Thank you you for the following link...

    4 or 5 methodologies... It doesn't matter..

We are not able to set up a measurement standard in the software industry..
    Hi kyjongdari

If 10 DETs are referenced and 2 DETs of them maintenanced your answer is correct..

  • Various applications to be counted use this data

  • It is user-identifiable from each applications
  • There is a table, that is referenced by other modules. But the data in the table is maintained by developer in the database management tool manually rather than any transctional function.

Can we count the table as an ILF, EIF or nothing?
For application B is to be counted only visible part..

    1 ILF with 1 RET, 8 DETs
How can we use an Analysis Model (business object model, use case, etc.) to count a project automaticly and properly?

I am looking for references on converting functional size in Use Case Points to Function Points
